Training Gear

The proper training gear for MMA includes a lycra compression shirt (rashguard) and a pair of MMA shorts or compression leggings. This is for both hygiene and safety issues. Please make sure that your outfit has no metal components (zippers, buttons, etc.) and has no pockets.

We also recommend kneepads, and for more experienced students shin guards and MMA gloves will be required.

Keep It Clean

Skin infections are serious problem in contact sports, so please keep your body and your gear clean.

To keep your gear clean and hygienic, we recommend pre-soaking them in hot water and OxiClean immediately after practice, and then washing them.

You should shower after class, and we recommend using antifungal soap.

Our academy is equipped with foot baths with a hospital-grade sanitizing solution. Please wash your feet every time you step on the mats.

If you have any skin infection or open sores please refrain from taking class and immediately bring it to the attention of the instructor.
